Esau

1437AG

A place of curses, mysteries, whispered tales, legends and myths - Esau is a medieval world of various Types of Magic, Magical Creatures and Wonderous Creatures roam the seas and lands. Adventuring parties gather and travel far, try to survive and complete quests, side-quests and side-quests of those side-quests.

~ This is the Homebrew world I started creating in 2018 for Dungeon & Dragons 5e - adding in some pieces of my earlier writing ~

THE PLANET

On the Prime Material Plane, Esau is located in Outlying Space, amongst the 200 to 500 billion stars of the Zlaris Galaxy, within the Moata Solar System. The planet is orbited by two moons and a sun.

It is influence by magic and the various realms and planes - including the six elemental planes.

The core of Esau formed first, a ball of rocky form surrounded by minerals and particles, along with the elements of Water, Earth, Air, Wood and Fire borrowed from five of the elemental planes. The unspoken of element is woven within the layers and spaces.

THE WORLD

What the land remembers the people have long forgotten.
Fogi Island holds remnants of the Titan Giants, who no longer have yet been found anywhere on Esau.
Origins of humanoids lead back to the Sunrayin Tribe and the relatively cut-off Pelago Islands.
The Feywild Expanse spreads further across the cursed Kutloc.
In the Northern Isle, children vanish from their beds - stolen by what for what purpose.
The largest continent is Malnax ruled by the royal family, who reside in Hammerforge Palace, where murder has been plotted.

One long tentacle came up each side of the ship. The wood creaked under the strain. The sea churned and foaming waves crashed around the beast. It was no whale. Not gentle and not just being nosey. This beast we sort, had found us. I realised how unprepared the crew truly were, as the third and fourth tentacle rose out of the water. A gentle grapple quickly became a dangerous hug.
The pain of falling hard onto the top of the water, winded me. I saw Captain Hardcase gripping so tightly to the captain’s wheel. Later I saw the Tabaxi Captain still holding the wheel, being rescued by her companion Doe.
Seaweed tangled in the churned up waves. Wood cracked loudly and splinted. I heard terrified screams from the crew. The large eye rose to look at it’s prize. The tentacles gave one last squeeze of the ship, before the Kraken abandoned the wreckage.

To write this without making it clear what I am noting of, is a difficult challenge for most. My writings might be put down to ramblings of a drug-addict and wantabe. I know one person, at least, in the world who has wandered enough to know better; therefore I direct this to him. My apologises for the jumbling of my words amongst avoiding the truth, for only my drugged self dares pen this . . .
. . . I dare, nor presume, to speak or write certain words down. Foremost that moat must remain entire. The Guardians of the exits and entrances, are of the magnificent winged ones and other celestial kind. None say what occurs if they fail. I fear if failing is what has happened . . .
. . . Not sure why I feel it is literal. It may be, we are all just insignificant as bugs to some beings that are beyond our understanding. The dismissal of any of us would be to them a snack. Consumption of what is not there any more. An emptiness.
